Such a wonderful spot for hanging out on a beautiful afternoon at the upstairs deck. There are adorable Xmas decorations and it is just relaxing and pleasant. We all had burgers,, two of us American burgers and me, the black bean. I am not a vegetarian, but I don't miss meat with this one. Lovely waitress, too, who sensed that we didn't want hovering.

Neat atmosphere based on trains. My waitress was polite and prompt. The menu reminded me somewhat of southern comfort food with the inclusion of pizza. I have had the shrimp and grits here before and they are by far the best thing on the menu. They do have some heat so be cautious.

Its a mainstay of travellers rest for a reason. The food is always delicious, and the menu revolves around american staples like burgers, sandwiches, pizza, and a few entrees like shrimp and grits and steak tips. Everything is moderately priced (a 1/3 pound burger and fries will set you back 9-15 dollars.) The restaurant itself is right on the swamp rabbit trail and very inviting, its a great place to kick back with friends and catch a game, but the crowd is mostly over 30 years old which is great because that means its not loud like a campus sports bar. There is an awesome upstairs patio and bar, but be warned it isn't enclosed and can be cold during the winter. Overall, this is a hard to emulate restaurant that has a very laid back and friendly vibe, and the food is great.

I really enjoyed the food. Fried green tomatoes were good but a little greasy. Maybe I should have not eaten the whole order. Hamburger was awesome!

Really like this place... Very relaxed atmosphere... Warm fireplace with a nice Christmas tree in the corner. Menu has as little of every thing... My favorite item is the chop steak..really a cut above the rest... Service has always been attentive and friendly.. They seem to have a full service bar with a couple of TV's.
