My family stayed here for a night last week. They seemed to enjoy their stay. Very clean lobby, freshly renovated rooms.
Lovely little hotel with lots of touches that you wouldn't expect for a moderate price. An outdoor fire-pit, a nicely designed outdoor pool, a surprisingly well-equipped fitness room, and a great continental breakfast are some of the reasons to ignore the shortcomings. The rooms are small and a recent remodeling was botched in the bathroom. The shower was a little cramped and the stall walls were poorly chalked so that mildew is ever-present near the bottom and the door was difficult to close properly resulting in a very wet bathroom floor. However, the rooms were otherwise very clean, and the bed was wonderful! The included breakfast featured an assortment of fresh fruit and juices, a variety of mini-muffins, and some hot and cold cereal options. The surprise was the fresh scrambled eggs, hot sausage, and a machine that dispensed waffle mix to pour into the available easy-to-operate waffle maker. I made a waffle for the first time (proving that anyone can do it) and the result was an unbelievably good Belgian waffle. The attendant kept everything filled, replenishing the sausages and eggs several times while I was there and even getting me a banana to take on my hike after breakfast had officially ended. She was typical of the staff and while the motel owners weren't really rude, but they almost appeared so next to the excellent people who work for them. If you're going to Travelers Rest to sample some of the fantastic outdoor activities and won't be in the room long enough to bothered by the small size you will definitely enjoy staying in this hotel.
Really nice, especially for a Best Western. It was recently renovated and it really shows that they put a lot of thought into it. Everything was clean and comfortable and on top of all that they had free beer downstairs for a few hours.

Best Western is a really friendly and not too expensive hotel. The breakfast is good. I recommend the waffle. There can be some loud other individuals but overall it is a good hotel.
